5 Reasons to Fall in Love with Quartz Countertops

Quartz is the one of most popular countertops on the market, but some homeowners are still in their comfort zone with traditional options like granite and marble. Although we can’t deny the beauty of a natural stone countertop, quartz has so many redeeming qualities that make it a perfect choice for any Los Angeles home remodel.

So, this year we are helping our customers fall in love with quartz by offering our top 5 reasons!

#1 Is A Strong Countertop Companion

Who doesn’t love a little muscle? Quartz has quite the reputation for being a strong countertop choice. Not only is quartz okay with taking heat, it fights to maintain a scratch-free and chip resistant surface. How does it accomplish this? Since quartz is a manmade stone option it is typically crafted with a resin binder that adds some additional durability. This is something that granite and marble cannot offer and is why a strong quartz countertop should be your first choice.

#2 Is A Cheap Date

Just because granite and marble are good looking natural stones, it doesn’t mean you should toss quartz to the side. Quartz countertops typically cost much less than its’ natural stone friends, but it will depend on the type of quartz you choose. There are two quartz options, prefabricated or custom. Custom can start to get costly which is why prefabricated is more popular. It looks just as nice and will keep your budget in line.

#3 Isn’t High Maintenance

No one likes a high maintenance countertop. Marble & granite will need to be sealed every 1-2 years. This unfortunately comes with the territory when choosing a porous natural stone product. Since quartz is manmade it offers non-porous qualities that are preferred by many home buyers. Yes, you will still have to care for your countertop to avoid stains, but as far as bacteria goes, quartz will have you protected.

#4 Comes with a Warranty

Very rarely do you fall in love with a countertop option that comes with a warranty…that is unless it is quartz. Another perk to being a manmade product is that it comes with warranties that range anywhere from 10 years to life. This is a very appealing aspect to homeowners, because if anything were to go wrong you’d have a nice cushion to fall back on.

#5 Is Good Looking

We always hear that marble and granite are the most beautiful types of countertops on the market, but for anyone that has laid their eyes on quartz, they know there is a new countertop in town. Quartz comes in an array of colors that will do wonders for any Los Angeles kitchen or bathroom. If you are a fan of the granite look, there are fabricated quartz pieces that can offer the same look but with more durability at a cheaper price. What’s not to love?

As we have said before, 2017 is the year of quartz countertops. This is one trend that will not be quick to leave and will give homeowners an edge should they decide to resell their property. So, join us in falling in love with quartz and get in touch to request your quartz estimate!
